Check the parks before you pay for anything

See what's open on your dates first. Aqualandia runs May to September. Terra Mítica and Mundomar stop for much of the winter, and Terra Natura opens only at weekends and on public holidays in November and December 2026. The Benidorm parks page has the dates. When the parks are shut, the safe bets are the castle and the day trips.

Benidorm, Alicante or both

Benidorm is parks and beach. Alicante fills a day and a half: Santa Bárbara Castle, the Bullring with its museum, and the old town. With three days, sleep in one and visit the other as a return trip.

Getting up to the castle

The lift from Postiguet costs €2.70, and the council's website advises buying it ahead. The minibus from Puerta del Mar is €1.45. From 15 November to 27 February the castle closes at 18:00, and entry stops 40 minutes earlier.

Day trips without a car

Guadalest, Altea and the Algar Waterfalls is the best fit, with three places in one day. The one listed here leaves from Alicante, so check the pickup point if you're in Benidorm. In Elche, the Huerto del Cura ticket is enough, or take the walking tour of the historic centre if you want context.

Frequently asked questions

Which Benidorm parks are open in winter?

Terra Natura opens at weekends and on public holidays in November and December 2026. Aqualandia and Terra Mítica shut through the colder months, and Mundomar only reopens to the general public in March. The dates are on the parks page.

Is there a water park in Benidorm?

Aqualandia, open May to September, and Aqua Natura next to Terra Natura, which you add with a supplement.

How do I get up to Santa Bárbara Castle?

Take the lift opposite Postiguet beach for €2.70, or the minibus from Puerta del Mar for €1.45 a trip. You can also walk up through La Ereta park.

What day trips can you do from Alicante?

The fullest combines Guadalest, Altea and the Algar Waterfalls. There's also entry to the Huerto del Cura garden in Elche.
