Book the Alcázar before anything else

Its slots can sell out and there's no waiting list, so choose that time first. Flamenco comes next if you want a particular night. The Cathedral is timed too, but the ticket office only charges €1 more.

One day: palace, tower, river

The Royal Alcázar opens at 09:30 and the Cathedral at 10:45, so see the palace first and climb the Giralda after it. Take a boat from the Torre del Oro or walk round Triana in the afternoon, and keep the evening for flamenco.

On Sundays the Cathedral stays shut until 14:30. Leave it for the afternoon, and from 17:00 you can try for free entry, services permitting, with no booking and limited capacity.

A second day and beyond

Add Palacio de las Dueñas or Casa de Pilatos and the Museum of Fine Arts. Isla Mágica takes a whole day and only opens in season. Football fans can see the Sánchez-Pizjuán with an audio guide. For more, see walking and boat tours and day trips.

City passes: do the sums

Bought officially, the Alcázar and Cathedral come to €28.50. The Seville Super Combo pairs them with an audio guide. The Seville Pass adds a hop-on hop-off bus and two walking tours, the Seville Highlights Pass a flamenco tablao. The Andalusia Pass only makes sense if you're also going to the Alhambra and Córdoba's Mezquita.

Frequently asked questions

What are the best things to do in Seville in one day?

The Royal Alcázar first thing, then the Cathedral and Giralda. Spend the afternoon on a river cruise or in Triana, and finish with flamenco.

What should I do with two days in Seville?

Give day one to the Alcázar and Cathedral. On day two, see Triana, a palace such as Las Dueñas or Casa de Pilatos and the Museum of Fine Arts, or go to Isla Mágica if it's open.

Do I need to book Alcázar tickets in advance?

Yes, it's the one to book first. Online sales can sell out on high-demand dates.

Is a Seville pass worth it?

Only if you'll use what it adds: audio guide, bus or flamenco. On the official sites, the Alcázar and Cathedral come to €28.50 on their own.

Can I buy Sevilla FC tickets?

Yes. Match tickets for the Sánchez-Pizjuán are on sale, and there's a stadium visit with audio guide.
