One island per trip

Mallorca has the most to book: Palma Cathedral, the Caves of Drach, Palma Aquarium and boat trips. Start here on a first visit if you want a week's worth of plans.

Menorca has little to reserve beyond boats and La Mola Fortress. It's the quiet choice.

Ibiza runs on the sea, with Formentera as a day out.

With only a week, don't split it. A one-off hop does fit: Alcúdia to Menorca, or Ibiza to Formentera.

Frequently asked questions

Which Balearic island should I choose?

Mallorca for variety and the most tickets. Menorca for coves and calm. Ibiza for the sea, the parties or Formentera.

Can I buy inter-island ferries here?

No. They're scheduled services sold by the ferry company. There is a day trip from Alcúdia to Menorca, though, and boats from Ibiza to Formentera.
