Check your day first

There are no tourist visits on Sundays, and Saturdays end at 14:15 all year. Winter hours cut weekdays from 17:15 back to 15:15, and the cathedral sets the changeover date each year, so in November or March go in the morning. Christmas brings closures too: its latest notice named 25, 26 and 31 December and 1 and 6 January.

€11, or less with proof

The standard ticket is €11 at the cathedral and covers the Sacred Art Museum (Museo de Arte Sacro). An audio guide is optional. Buying ahead spares you the ticket office queue, which you'll notice on a cruise-ship day. Over-65s pay €9. Students, unemployed people and disabled visitors pay €8, but only at the ticket office with proof, so go straight there.

Terraces only from April to November

Slots run every 30 minutes, and the official price with the cathedral is €25. Outside those months nobody goes up, so check your date before paying for a combo. From April to October the slots run Monday to Friday, 10:00–16:30. For Saturdays, confirm before you buy. The €8 rate is for residents, so plan on €25 if you're visiting from abroad.

When a guide earns its fee

The interior makes more sense with someone explaining what Gaudí did there. The walking tour adds the old town and a tasting, and works if you only have a few hours in the city. The Almudaina Palace, close by, has a separate ticket. For the rest of the island, see Mallorca.
