Most booked in Granada

Each seller's price in euros, depending on date and time. These are affiliate links: if you buy, we earn a commission and you pay the same.

Day one: your Alhambra time comes first

Look for tickets at the Alhambra before you look at hotels. Some days show nothing left, and the Nasrid Palaces only let you in at the time on your ticket. The visit takes about 3 hours, so fit the day around it. The Cathedral and Royal Chapel open Monday to Saturday until 18:15 and 18:30. Finish in the Albaicín.

Day two: Albaicín and Sacromonte

Give the day to these two neighbourhoods, with the Sacromonte Caves Museum if it appeals. At night, flamenco in a cave or a tablao (flamenco venue).

Day three: leave town or stay for the baths

The Alpujarra is the classic day trip, and tours also run to the Costa Tropical and Nerja. If you'd rather stay put, Hammam Al Ándalus fills an afternoon.

Granada Card or single tickets

The official Granada Card costs €60 for 72 hours and €55 for 48, both with the general Alhambra ticket plus the Cathedral, Royal Chapel and other monuments. It also has its own Alhambra allocation, and that's its main value when the official site has nothing left. You fix the Alhambra date when you buy.

For the Alhambra alone it doesn't pay. Don't confuse it with The Granada City Pass, a seller's pass that bundles the Alhambra and Palaces with the tourist train and an audio guide, without the Card's monuments.

Frequently asked questions

What can you do in Granada in one day?

The Alhambra takes about 3 hours. Use the rest of the day for the Cathedral and Royal Chapel, then spend the late afternoon in the Albaicín.

What should I do with 3 days in Granada?

The Alhambra on day one, the centre plus the Albaicín and Sacromonte on day two, and a day trip or the Arab baths on day three.

Is the Granada Card worth it?

Yes if you want the Alhambra and several other monuments, or if the Alhambra's website has no tickets left, because the Card has its own allocation.

Are there guided tours of the Albaicín?

Yes. Guided tours cover the Albaicín and Sacromonte, and some combine them with the Cathedral and Royal Chapel.

Where can I see flamenco in Granada?

In the Sacromonte caves, such as Los Tarantos or Zincalé, and in tablaos such as La Alboreá.
