Cathedral: Wednesday afternoons, with a free ticket booked on the diocese's portal. People born or registered as residents in Granada city or province: Cathedral all day on Tuesdays and Royal Chapel on Tuesdays 14:00–18:00, with ID at the ticket office; during Kerygma the Cathedral costs them €5. Children up to 12 with an adult, at both.

Tickets include an audio guide in the app. Sold on the Archdiocese's website or at the ticket office; the large-family reduced rate is only sold at the ticket office.

Cathedral: Monday to Saturday 10:00–18:15; Sundays and Catholic holy days of obligation 15:00–18:15; doors close at 18:45. Royal Chapel: Monday to Saturday 10:00–18:30; Sundays 11:30–18:30; doors close at 19:00. No sightseeing during services.

Free on Wednesday afternoons

The Cathedral is free on Wednesday afternoons if you book a free ticket first on the diocese's portal.

Tuesdays are for locals: people born or registered in Granada province, with ID at the ticket office. They get the Cathedral free all day (€5 during Kerygma) and the Chapel free 14:00–18:00. Visitors from abroad won't qualify.

What the two cost

They charge separately, €14 for both at normal prices, and each has its own address: Gran Vía de Colón 5 for the Cathedral, calle Oficios for the Chapel. The Kerygma exhibition pushes the Cathedral to €10 until 28 November 2026, and it's back to €7 from 29 November.

The official ticket has an audio guide in the app, so a single ticket needs nothing added. A guided tour only pays if you want someone to talk you through both buildings. The large-family rate is sold at the ticket office only.

Sundays and what you can't bring

On Sundays the Cathedral doesn't open until 15:00, the Chapel until 11:30. Suitcases and travel backpacks aren't allowed in the Cathedral, and the Royal Chapel bans photos and video.

The €33 combined ticket

Sold by the Archdiocese itself, it opens six monuments over seven days. It only pays if you'll see nearly all of them, so not for these two alone. The Alhambra isn't part of it.
