One to four days

Day one: the Sagrada Família in the morning, then Passeig de Gràcia, where Casa Batlló and La Pedrera share the street.

Day two: Park Güell and the Picasso Museum, which closes on Mondays.

Day three: Montjuïc and Poble Espanyol, open until midnight Tuesday to Sunday for most of the year.

Day four: leave the city. Montserrat is a train ride from Plaça Espanya, and the other options are under day trips.

Book these before you fly

The Sagrada Família has no ticket office and sales open about two months ahead. Park Güell comes next, capped at 1,400 people an hour. Casa Batlló and La Pedrera do have ticket offices, though Batlló charges €4 to €15 more there than online.

Barcelona Card, Hola Barcelona or Articket

The 48-hour Barcelona Card costs €39 with public transport and covers more than 25 museums and spaces. The Sagrada Família and Park Güell aren't on its list, so you pay for those separately, and at Batlló and La Pedrera it only takes off €7.

If you just need to get around, Hola Barcelona is €27.30 for 72 hours. Articket costs €38 for six art museums over 12 months.
