Turning up without a ticket
Entry is capped at 1,400 people an hour and the official website warns that availability is very limited, so arriving without a ticket means risking a wait, or not getting in. Sales open up to three months ahead, with a maximum of 7 tickets per purchase.
Your ticket is in your name, can't be transferred and gives you 30 minutes from the time on it. You can't cancel, but you can move the day and time up to the day before, if there's space.
Early mornings are not a free way in
The park is open 07:00–09:30 and 18:00–22:00, but only for local residents and Passi Verd bookings, with no tourist visits. In November, tourist tickets cover slots from 09:30 to 17:30. The last slot changes with the season, so look up your date on the official calendar.
Passi Verd is for people registered as Barcelona residents. It's valid only for the day you request it and can't be booked ahead. Residents of the adjoining neighbourhoods have a free-access card. Neither helps a visitor from abroad, who pays €18, or €13.50 for children aged 7–12 and over-65s. Age 6 and under is free, but you still need a €0 ticket.
When a seller beats the official €18
For plain entry, use the official website. A seller makes sense if you want an audio guide included, your slot has gone there, or you want a smaller group: the official guided tour takes up to 25 people.
Closed paths and the Vallcarca stop
As of 4 November 2026, drainage and lighting works have closed the path between Coll del Portell and the Forat del Vent stairway, and the one from Casa Trias to the Viaducte de Dalt.
The official website advises against arriving via the Vallcarca stop, because the escalators on the bajada de la Glòria are out of service. Check its notice of disruptions before you set out.
