Book the Oceanogràfic before anything else

This is the ticket that should fix your dates. The aquarium's calendar sets the price and hours day by day, and general admission rises by just over €6 from low to high season. Choose the day there, then build the rest of the trip around it.

How to split three days

Do you need the Tourist Card?

The 24, 48 or 72-hour Valencia Tourist Card earns its keep if you'll ride the metro and buses and go into several municipal museums. It covers bus, metro, tram and Cercanías local trains, airport stop included. Skip it for a trip built around the Oceanogràfic, where it only gets you a discount. The 7-day card is a different product: no transport, but the Cathedral and IVAM.

For an evening with a ticket, look at flamenco.

Frequently asked questions

What can you do in Valencia in three days?

One day for the old town, one for the City of Arts and Sciences with the Oceanogràfic, and a morning for the Bioparc. The complex allows about 3 hours for the science museum and 4 for the aquarium.

Where is the aquarium in Valencia?

The aquarium is the Oceanogràfic, inside the City of Arts and Sciences. You pay for it separately, though combo tickets add the science museum and the Hemisfèric.

What does the Valencia Tourist Card include?

Entry to 14 municipal museums and monuments, such as the Lonja de la Seda, plus discounts of up to 50%. The 24, 48 and 72-hour cards include transport. The 7-day card doesn't, but it adds the Cathedral and IVAM.

Does the Valencia Tourist Card cover the Oceanogràfic?

No. It only gets you a discount there, so compare that with the combo tickets.
