First Sunday of every month, 12 February, 23 April, Museums Night, and 11 and 24 September, with limited capacity and free tickets online only. Always free, with proof: children up to 12, people out of work, people with disabilities, holders of the free Tarjeta Rosa and ICOM members.
Booking
The ticket office is in the building next door and stays open until one hour before closing. Free tickets for the first Sunday are released on the Thursday before at 10:00; those for the other free days, four days before.

1 April to 31 October: 10:00–20:00 (last entry 19:00). 1 November to 31 March: 10:00–17:30 (last entry 16:30).

Pick your day carefully

The palace is shut on Mondays that aren't public holidays, on 25 and 26 December, on 1 and 6 January, and for maintenance in the last week of January. If you're travelling in late January, check before you plan around it.

The rooftop and the patio del mediodía can close for rain, strong wind or extreme heat. If the forecast is poor and the rooftop matters to you, move your visit.

Last entry is 16:30 from November to March and 19:00 from April to October. The ticket office is in the building next door, not in the palace, and shuts an hour before closing.

Paying €15, or nothing

The general ticket is €15, or €12 for over-65s and Barcelona Card holders. The Mini rate is €5 for ages 13–18, Carnet Joven holders and large families. Up to 12 it's always free, with proof.

Free days have limited places and free tickets are online only, so you can't get one at the door. For the first Sunday of the month, set a reminder: tickets come out on the Thursday before at 10:00. For 12 February, 23 April, Museums Night and 11 and 24 September, they appear four days ahead.
