What a ticket costs
The Guggenheim publishes a rate for each day. On 4 November 2026 it was €12 for adults and €6 for students aged 18 to 25, over-65s and pensioners. Archived copies of the same page show €15 and €18 during 2026, and the weekend of 17 October 2026 was marked free for everyone. Before buying far ahead, check the rate for your date.
Under-18s always go free, and under-12s must come with an adult.
On the last day of each exhibition, it's half price from 16:00 to 19:00. The joint ticket with the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, €16 for adults on the same table, gives you 4 days to reach the second museum.
Opening times
- Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00–19:00. Easter and summer run until 20:00.
- Closed on Mondays, except those the museum lists. Check if your trip lands on one.
- The ticket office shuts half an hour before closing, and the galleries start clearing 15 minutes before. If you come in at the last minute, you won't have long.
- On 24 and 31 December it closes at 17:00. It doesn't open on 25 December or 1 January.
Plain ticket or guided visit
A ticket with no tour is sold on the official site or at the ticket office. It already includes an audio guide, which other museums charge extra for, and for plenty of visitors that's enough. What the sellers list here are guided visits or packages with something extra. They pay off if you want a guide, not if you want to save money.
Check the language first: one of the tours with a ticket runs in Spanish. The Gehry tour suits you if the building interests you more than the collection. Private tours are for groups sharing the cost. If you're based in San Sebastián, a day trip takes in the museum. For the rest of the day, see Bilbao.
