Jerez: horses or wine

The show at the Real Escuela (Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art) starts at 12:00, lasts about 90 minutes with an interval and only runs on days in its calendar. Check before you buy. With no show, the themed visit costs €14 and includes training in the arena, museums, stables and the tack room, with the ticket office open 09:30–13:00. The cards on this page cover both.

At Tío Pepe the basic visit lasts 1 hour 30 minutes with 2 wines, and you pick a time on its website. There's no card here: you book with the bodega.

Doing both in Jerez? Put the Real Escuela first, because its timing is the least flexible. Keep Cádiz for another day.

Cádiz Cathedral

It costs €12 and takes 1 hour 30 minutes with the audio guide. It opens Monday to Saturday 10:00–19:00, but not until 13:30 on Sundays, so plan that morning elsewhere. You can also buy your ticket at Santa Cueva, San Felipe Neri, Capilla del Pópulo and Hospital de Mujeres, which helps if you're following that route.

Museo de Cádiz: who pays

It's on Plaza de Mina and free for EU citizens and residents. Everyone else pays €1.50, which means visitors from the UK, US, Canada and Australia unless they live in the EU. It stays open until 21:00 from Tuesday to Saturday. If Murillo is why you're going, hold off: that room and the 20th-century room remain closed for restoration.
