Booking
Advance booking is compulsory and places are limited: the official site advises booking 2 or 3 days ahead. You pay when you book, and can cancel or change up to 48 hours before. The price appears when you choose a day and session on the official site.

It works by sessions: you choose a day and session when booking. Each circuit lasts 1 h 30 including massage, or 2 hours with the seasonal service. Arrive at the changing-room time on your confirmation.

Which session to book

Emerge is the baths circuit alone. Mimma and Midra add a massage of 15 to 60 minutes. For exfoliation, look for the option with kessa. The total stays at 1 h 30, so a long massage eats into your time in the water.

Couples aren't guaranteed a massage at the same time. The baths are mixed and there are no nude sessions.

The price only appears when you pick a day and session in the official booking, so compare that with the cards on this page. Students get 15% off. The discount of up to 15% is for Madrid residents who register in the hammam's community, so it won't help a visitor.

Rules that cost money

You pay when you book and can cancel or change up to 48 hours before. After that you lose your money. Be on time for the changing-room slot on your confirmation, because a late start isn't made up. Photos and video aren't allowed inside.

Check the address

Madrid has two centres and they aren't close to each other. This page covers the hammam at calle de Atocha 14, next to Plaza Mayor and Sol. The Puerta de Hierro one is at calle Isla Malaita 14, where the minimum age is 16 because of the depth of the baths. At Plaza Mayor it's 5.

Yes, because places are limited. The centre advises booking 2 or 3 days ahead.

Can children go?

At Plaza Mayor, from age 5, and under-16s must come with an adult. At Puerta de Hierro the minimum age is 16.

What should I bring?

Only a swimsuit or bikini, which is compulsory: underwear isn't allowed. Towels are provided.
