Booking

Buy it online on the Thyssen's ticket website or at the ticket office of any of the three museums. Your first visit must be at the museum where you bought it. See the other two in any order, within a year of purchase. At the Thyssen it isn't valid on Mondays and covers the permanent collection only.

Worth it only at full price

Bought singly, the Prado costs €15, the Thyssen €14 and the Reina Sofía €12: €41 in all. The pass saves €8.20, but only if you were going to pay general admission at all three. It doesn't work for two museums, because the priciest pair comes to €29.

Skip it if you're one of these:

Under 18: free at all three.
Student aged 18 to 25: free at the Prado and the Reina Sofía, €10 at the Thyssen.
Over 65: free at the Reina Sofía, €7.50 at the Prado and €10 at the Thyssen. That's €17.50.
Using a free slot: each museum has its own, listed under free museums in Madrid.

Where you buy decides where you start

Your first visit must be at the museum where you bought the pass. Buy on the Thyssen's website and that means the Thyssen first, where the pass isn't valid on Mondays, the day it opens free 12:00–16:00. After that, see the other two in any order. Buy at the Prado or Reina Sofía ticket office and you start there.

The Thyssen website is the official online route. If the card on this page shows more than €32.80, that difference is what you pay to buy through a seller, so read its redemption terms first.
