Everyone, on Sundays from 14:00. Under 6s, always. The Roman Theatre, run by the Junta de Andalucía, is free until it reaches capacity.
Booking
Last entry is one hour before closing. Reduced rate for European Youth Card holders, EU citizens over 65, retired or unemployed people and students, disability from 33% and large families.
Opening hours
Alcazaba: 1 November to 31 March, 09:00–18:00, last entry 17:00; 1 April to 31 October, 09:00–20:00, last entry 19:00. Roman Theatre: Tuesday to Saturday 10:00–18:00; Sundays and public holidays 10:00–16:00.

Alcazaba alone or with Gibralfaro

The Alcazaba is €7 and the joint ticket with Gibralfaro Castle €10, so €3 more adds the castle. Take it if you plan to go up.

Reduced rates are €3 and €5 joint, for European Youth Card holders, retired people, the unemployed, students, people with a disability of 33% or more and large families. Age alone counts only for EU citizens over 65.

Both monuments for nothing on a Sunday

From 14:00 on Sundays nobody pays at the Alcazaba. From November to March last entry is 17:00, so don't leave it too late.

The Roman Theatre opens on Sundays 10:00–16:00 and closes on Mondays. To see both for free, start at the theatre and go up to the Alcazaba from 14:00.

Do you need a seller?

Not for a single ticket: at €7, buy it and go in. Tours do add something: a guide who explains the site and connects it with the Roman Theatre. If you only want to listen, look at the audio guide options.

Hours change on 1 November and 1 April, and last entry is one hour before closing.
