One park or two

Going to both parks? Buy the Twin Ticket. It runs for 15 days from your first visit, so you won't have to squeeze Puerto de la Cruz and Costa Adeje onto consecutive days just to make the dates work. Keep Siam Park for the hottest day. If only one park interests you, stick with the standard ticket.

Plan around the shows

Loro Parque runs 09:30–17:30, and the orca, dolphin, sea lion and parrot presentations set the pace. Check their times as you walk in and build everything else around them. Turn up late and you'll miss some.

The all-inclusive pass and Diamond Pass cost a good deal more than entry, so only consider them if you'll use what's in them.

Getting there from the south

From central Puerto de la Cruz it's easy: the free train leaves Plaza de los Reyes Católicos from 09:00, every 20 minutes. From the south of the island it's a long haul, which is why the combos with transfers exist. They pay off without a car. With one, you don't need them.

Staying on another island? There's a day trip from Gran Canaria, which only makes sense if Loro Parque is the whole reason for going.

If your dates change

The park doesn't give refunds, but tickets bought from it stay valid indefinitely, so you can use them any time. With a seller, that product's conditions apply, so read them before you pay.

The ticket office also sells on the day, though the park recommends buying online. The rest of the island is under Tenerife.

    Siam park I loved it we all had a great time throughout our visit. The slides were great. Lazy river was fun. Loro park was amazing I loved seeing all the animals and there well looked after here. I enjoyed looking at the lab area. Best part was the whales getting us wet what a laugh. The lions were stunning
